Before they went to Sweden, a recruitment agency promised the berry pickers huge amounts of blueberries and great earnings.
They were promised a plantation to pick the berries from, but instead they had to go out into the forests to find them. Just to cover their travel expenses, the berry pickers had to pick 40 kilos of blueberry every day. A more or less impossible demand under such conditions.
The district, the berry pickers were supposed to work in, is now trying to force the employer to pay back their travel expenses.
