Wednesday, officials said that a Thai government helicopter crashed in the ountry’s mountainous north, reports CNN.
The chopper went missing Tuesday during heavy rainstorms. It belonged to Thailand’s Natural Resource and Environment Ministry.
A rescue crew tracked the helicopter by using the signal from one of the helicopter’s occupants’ mobile phone. It was found in a remote jungle in the Nan province.
Thai News Agency says that the permanent secretary for ministry was among the occupants.
