The Embassy in Manila has now started a new pilot where the Embassy also handles applications for some types of Residence Permits to Norway. The Pilot Project will last for six months (April-September). The aim of the Pilot is to achieve higher efficiency and faster processing times.
Applications that are handled at the Embassy will have a much shorter processing time than the cases that are sent to the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration.
Cases that are considered uncomplicated and contains all the required documents (as stated on the Embassy’s website) are handled at the Embassy.
Cases that requires further consideration or do not contain all the required documents for the given type of application will be forwarded to the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration as usual.
