Mr. Odd Are Sletten has been appointed as the Managing Director of Timur Ship Management’s Jakarta Office. PT Timur starts up with nine employees, with ambitions of having this number grow quickly.
In his speech Ambassador Homme congratulated the new company and made reference to maritime cooperation being one of the pillars in Norway’s relations to Indonesia. He said that the establishment of PT Timur demonstrates the increasing interest that the Norwegian shipping businesses are showing for this country. Homme expressed confidence that Timur Ship Management, with its combination of the best of long Norwegian maritime traditions and the strong drive of a modern Asian enterprise, will do very well in Indonesia.
