The number of psychiatric patients who, after psychiatric treatment, end up killing themselves is 18 times higher in Denmark than in Sweden.
This is evident from a new study of psychiatry in the Nordic countries, which has been made for the Nordic Council.
President of the Danish Medical Association Mads Koch Hansen is shocked by the difference.
– It is difficult to witness that two otherwise comparable countries like Sweden and Denmark have so noticeably different suicide rates for psychiatric patients, he says to Information.
