New requirements for supporting documents for short-stay visas to Norway/Schengen will be implemented by the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing and the Consulate Generals in Shanghai and Guangzhou starting from 1st of December 2011. The requirements are based on a harmonized list agreed upon by all Schengen countries and adjusted according to country-specific requirements.
The new requirements only affect the short-stay visas (less than 90 days) and will therefore not have any implications on long-stay visas (more than 90 days). Please note that some document requirements may differ from previous ones.
Note! The Embassy/Consulates will accept applications with supporting documents both from the old and new list until 1st of December. After 1st of December the applicants are expected to follow the new requirements.
