Carlsberg will get more competition in Vietnam

The world’s largest brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev will strengthen their position in Vietnam and other ASEAN countries. According to Bloomberg AB InBev will be ready to open their first brewery in Vietnam in the beginning of 2015.

AB InBev CEO Carlos Brito says that the new brewery that among other brands they will produce the famous Budweiser for the Vietnamese and other ASEAN markets.

This is not only the first AB InBev factory in Vietnam, but in the ASEAN region. This means more competition to Carlsberg that has been in Vietnam since 1993 and that currently has a 34 percent share of market.
