The embassy of Denmark in Bangkok marked the Danish flag day for deployed military personnel.
Monday 5 September is the official flag day for Denmark’s deployed military personnel.
The date has been the official flag day since 2009 and was marked nationwide in Denmark with a variety of events and ceremonies.
The Danish embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, also marked the day by arranging flag day for Danish veterans living in Bangkok or nearby areas.
“We mark 5 September because we want to honor the Danish veterans and their families as well as our close allies in international missions,” writes the embassy on their facebook page.
On the embassy the veterans shared stories and experiences from deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan, Mali, Cyprus and the Balkans.
This year is the second time the Danish embassy marks 5 September.
