Karri Kivela new Executive Director of EABC

Karri Kivela, former Executive Director of the Thai-Finnish Chamber of Commerce (TFCC), has been appointed new Executive Director of EABC. Mr. Kivela assumed his new position at EABC on April 18th, 2019.

In a news release, EABC President Stefan Molnar highlights Karri Kivela’s experience not only in the private sector but also in the chamber work and his excellent connection with the European business community as some of the obvious strength, that he brings to his new assignment.

“Mr. Kivela is the right person to drive- and support the further development of our association,” Mr. Stefan Molnar says.

“I am happy to have Mr. Kivela on board of the EABC and I am very much looking forward to working closely together with him and our team.”

Karri Kivela (61) was born in Helsinki, Finland. Before moving to Thailand in 2012, Mr. Kivela worked over 20 years as a sponsorship planner for different companies as well as for sport- and entertainment event production companies. From 2012 to 2015 Mr. Kivela worked as Business Development Manager for the Finnish company “Logonet Promotion” and he joined the board of the Thai-Finnish Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) in 2014. From 2015 until today he has worked as Executive Director of the Thai-Finnish Chamber of Commerce (TFCC). Mr. Kivela received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1983.

Stefan Molnar also took the opportunity in the news release to sincerely thank the former EABC Executive Director, Khun Charles for his excellent work throughout the years.

“I would like to wish him all possible success for his future career in the private sector,” Stefan Molnar says.
