A Vietnamese architect from Hanoi, Hoang Thanh Tung, spent three weeks exploring Norway’s scenic Vietnamese couple stunned by Norway’s Lofoten Islands, including the village of Å.

According to VietNamNet, Hoang Thanh Tung and his wife, Nguyen Thu Trang, visited nine villages across the Arctic archipelago, known for its dramatic mountains, fjords and traditional red fishing cabins.

“Like another world”

“The light here, from the white nights of summer to the aurora borealis in winter, makes visitors feel like they are in another world,” Tung told VietNamNet.

Among the highlights of the trip were the villages of Hamnøy, Sakrisøy and Reine, famous for their picturesque landscapes and hiking trails.

The couple also visited Å, a small fishing village at the southern end of Lofoten. In Old Norse, the name means “small stream”.

Tung described the village as peaceful and charming, with traditional wooden houses, fishing boats and dramatic Arctic scenery.
