The theme for the Swedish National Day 6 June 2014 in Hanoi is “Fire and Ice”, with Sweden symbolizing ice and Vietnam symbolizing fire. The Swedish Embassy chose this theme thinking about how hot Vietnam can be in the summer and how cold Sweden can be in winter. Also our respective flags also carry these colours – firey red for Vietnam and iceblue for Sweden. Throughout the evening, the guests the chance to see fire and ice in different forms such as a fire show, a fabulous ice-bar and lots of hot food and cool drinks.
