Nordic Sustainability Day 2025 in Shanghai

As part of Shanghai Climate Week, the Nordic countries Denmark, Finland, and Norway are uniting to host “Nordics for Climate Action: Nordic Sustainability Day 2025” on April 23 at Studio 9 in Shanghai’s Jing’an District. This event underscores the shared commitment of the Nordics and China to address climate change through collaboration and innovation.

The event will feature three sessions running from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, focusing on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices; Transitioning to a circular economy; and Harnessing open innovation and partnerships between Nordic countries and China.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with global experts, leading companies, and change-makers across various industries. The program includes keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, aiming to foster meaningful dialogue and collaborative solutions.

This event is part of a broader series of sustainability initiatives launched in Shanghai. In March, the Nordic consulates collaborated with Chinese sustainable brand HowBottle to host a youth seminar and upcycling workshop, promoting sustainability and the circular economy among young participants. These efforts reflect the Nordics’ dedication to engaging diverse audiences in climate action.

The collaboration between the Consulate Generals from the three Nordic countries and China during Shanghai Climate Week shows the importance of international cooperation in addressing environmental challenges. By sharing knowledge, resources, and innovative practices, these nations aim to drive progress toward a more sustainable and resilient future.
