The arrival of Ambassador Ms Ann Ollestad marked the opening of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Yangon, this officialy upgrading our presence in Myanmar.
Norway has had full time diplomatic presence in Yangon for the past year, administratively managed by our Embassy on Bangkok. The upgrade that happened Monday 28 October marks the ever increasing bilateral relations and cooperation between Norway and Myanmar. The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Yangon is the newest Norwegian Embassy to open, and is currently staffed with four full time diplomats as well as local employees.
