Norwegian architecture firm Snøhetta has completed the Cloud 11 Elevated Creative Park in Bangkok with A49 Architects. The 250000 square metre mixed-use complex is developed by MQDC in the South Sukhumvit area. Cloud 11 is planned as a regional creative hub combining offices, studios, hotels, retail and public park spaces.

At its centre is Thailand’s largest elevated lawn, forming a public park above Bangkok’s flood-prone streets. The landscape filters air, cools surrounding buildings and supports biodiversity through dense planting and shaded walking routes. Designers say the horizontal layout also helps ventilation and shading, reducing heat compared with conventional high-rise developments.
Cloud 11 supports Bangkok’s Green Bangkok 2030 goals by integrating stormwater management, green roofs and porous pavements. Features such as bioswales, rain gardens and recycled-plastic seating aim to cut emissions and improve daily comfort. Locally sourced plants and preserved mature trees link the new district to the area’s landscape heritage.
Snøhetta describes the project as a model for climate-adapted urban regeneration in Southeast Asia. When Cloud 11 opens to the public in March 2026, it will offer 24-hour access to its civic spaces. Nordic, Thai and international creative companies are expected to use the district as a base in Bangkok.
