A 71-year-old Norwegian man from Møre and Romsdal was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for ordering sexual assaults on numerous girls in Philippines committed via internet .
The man used an online video calling service to contact minors in the Philippines and paid them to perform sexual acts under his instruction.
According to the court, the youngest victim was “probably between three and five years old and [there were] at least 48 victims but the actual number could be much higher because of difficulties identifying them”
When searching the man’s home, the police found more than 36,000 photographs and videos containing child pornography in his possession.
