Tampere University has hosted 30 master’s students from the Education University of Hong Kong for a two-week academic programme. The visit focused on higher education policy, governance, and innovation.

The students, enrolled in EdUHK’s Master of Arts in Global Higher Education and Master of Education programmes, joined the course Analysis of Higher Education and Innovation Policies. The course included lectures, discussions, and interactive sessions using global perspectives and Finnish examples.

Teaching staff included Professor Jussi Kivistö, Professor Mari-Pauliina Vainikainen, Doctor Nina Arnhold, and University Instructor Kateryna Suprun. Doctoral researchers also supported the programme’s academic and practical activities.

Alongside classes, the programme included cultural activities such as a guided tour of Tampere, museum visits, a Finnish sauna experience, and a joulutorttu baking event. The university said the activities were designed to support cultural exchange.

EdUHK staff accompanied the group and joined discussions on future collaboration. Tampere University said the visit supports its work on international partnerships in higher education.
