Second Danish trainee at ScandAsia

Lars Pinnerup, a student from the Danish School of Journalism has joined Bangkok-based Scand-Media in August to cover Scandinavian news in Thailand and Southeast Asian countries for ScandAsia magazine. He is the second Danish intern this year, after Knud Brix, to work for the magazine.
Lars has recently completed his internship at the Nordjyske Medier, where he was responsible for the local news and crime news as well as creating some radio and TV programs.
The young Danish journalist has a great sense of adventure and a huge passion for music and sports. He chose to come to Thailand because it is more challenging in terms of social and cultural differences than New York in which he has also been offered a position.
A former music entrepreneur, Lars discovered the interest for journalism a few years back after going through some career diversities. Having joining the army for a year and operated a music company, where he was a music promoter handling music tours and concerts for various Scandinavian and a few American bands.
After the attempt to find what really suits him, he opted for the Danish School of Journalism, where he grasped the knowledge and made his way to becoming a professional journalist.
Lars looks forward to spending his six months in Thailand and Southeast Asia to learn things outside his usual environment, and this part of the world promises him brand new experience. He is taking everyday as an opportunity to absorb the culture and the way to professionalism.
