Special police from the National Bureau of Investigation in Manila has arrested a 32-year Swedish man wanted for an execution style murder in Sweden 2001.
A court in Sweden had issued an international arrest warrant on the suspect, a necessary measure to facilitate his capture by Filipino police.
The man was caught Tuesday in Olongapo City, 90 kilometres outside Manila.
He will be extradited to Sweden, and a trial there, as soon as the necessary papers are ready.
