Scandinavians Injured in Bus Crash in Cambodia

According to The Phnom Penh Post, a tourist bus with 21 passengers crashed early on Friday morning in Pursat province’s Krakor district in Cambodia. There were 13 injured tourists from Norway, Denmark, France, Canada, Germany and the Netherlands.

The investigators said that the Angkor Express bus staggered to the left and off the national road 5.  When the bus driver braked in an attempt to swerve back onto the road, the bus toppled over.

Half of the passengers on the bus were foreign tourists. Thirteen injured tourists were sent to a provincial hospital before being released.

The tourists told the local police that the driver lost concentration due to sleepiness.
