Launch of “LONG LIVE THE KING OF THAILAND” Medals by Mint of Finland

To celebrate his majesty the king’s 84th birthday, “Long Live the King of Thailand” medals have recently been released by Mint of Finland. With the new technology applied, the medals represent the design of his majesty the king’s graphic images. The aim is to reinforce unity among Thai nationals as many of his majesty the king’s  projects help elevate the quality of life of Thai people.

Designed by M.L. Chiratorn Chirapravati under the theme “Circle of Life”, Mint of Finland released the medals in three styles.

The first is named Plidok (meaning blossom) which is made with alloy, with the selling price of 399 baht. Romyen (meaning peace) is made with alloy coated with real gold and is priced at 2,499 baht. The third style is called Okpon (meaning bloom). The material used is alloy coated with silver and coloured in pink. The price is also 2,499 baht.

One side of all medals comes with the words “H.M. KING BHUMIBOL ADULYADEJ’S 84TH BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY”, where the other side has the line that says “LONG LIVE THE KING OF THAILAND”.

For a set of three medals in a well-designed package, the price is 4,999 baht.

All proceeds after expenses deduction will be offered to his majesty the king.
