Danish Embassy and LEO Pharma held event on Psoriasis

Due to the International World Psoriasis Day in China on October 29th, 2012, the Danish Embassy in Beijing together with Danish company LEO Pharma held a joint event on October 27th to welcome the day and to raise public attention on the disease of psoriasis.

Sino-Danish collaboration raises awareness of the disease

Representatives from the Chinese media, the Chinese Medical Association (CMA), the Chinese Center for Health Education as well as the patient union for people with psoriasis took part in the event, which had 35 participants.

Danish ambassador to China, Mr. Friis Arne Petersen, opened the day.

“The importance of recognizing and raising awareness of this chronic disease, and supporting the affected patients in their fight and struggle to live with it, is of great importance to every society both Chinese and Danish,” Ambassador Petersen said.

Professor Xuejun Zhu from the Dermatology Section of CMA and Professor Hengjin Li from Peking University also held speeches during the day.
