On the morning of November 7th, 2012, the newly appointed customs attaché, Tuomas Liikavainio at the Swedish Embassy in Beijing, invited Swedish companies to a breakfast discussion concerning customs procedures. Over 20 company representatives participated in the dialogue where several issues related to importing and exporting were raised.
Among the raised problems several were related to R&D and the import and export for repair purposes. A more clear classification of categories as well as harmonizing of rules and regulations between the different regions was requested by the Swedish companies. In addition to this discussion a suggestion concerning a forum to discuss problems and solutions among the Swedish companies was raised.
Representatives from the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and the Swedish Trade Council in China were also present at the discussion.
