Jebsen & Jessen honours Heine Askaer-Jensen for 25-year service

Heine Askaer-Jensen, group managing director of Jebsen & Jessen (SEA) Pte. Ltd. recently became the 80th long-serving employee currently still in active service with the Jebsen & Jessen group across the 25-year mark.
     Heine Askaer-Jensen joins a growing number of people honoured for their dedication to the Jebsen & Jessen group. The number rises to 118, if it includes staff members who have already retired.
     For the past 25 years, Heine Askaer-Jensen has held various senior executive positions within the group. In 1979, he joined the Jebsen & Jessen in Indonesia and within three years moved to Singapore where he became group director for finance and administration.
     He then took up residence in Bangkok in 1984, assuming the post of managing director for Jebsen & Jessen operations in Thailand. In 1989, he returned to Singapore as executive director, and from 1997 served in the executive board as group managing director, focusing on the group’s productivity drive, effective resource utilisation and overall risk management.
     “I feel lucky to have been part of a very dynamic period with the group in South East Asia, and I’m truly privileged to have enjoyed the good company of like-minded friends and colleagues around the house,” he said.
     Heine Askaer-Jensen is also actively involved with a number of professional associations, and is known for promoting business and cultural interests in the region. Most recently in April 2004, he received a public nomination as Hans Christian Andersen Ambassador to Singapore in support of a global initiative to bring Andersen’s illustrious literary work to life.
