VMETRO establishes office in Singapore

Norway’s VMETRO on December 8 announced the opening of its office in Singapore. This new expansion will allow the company to better serve its existing clients in the Asia Pacific region, and will promote VMETRO’s system level development services to companies throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim.
VMETRO is a provider of products for high-speed sensor I/O, data recording and bus analysis.
“We are confident that our Singapore office will provide better access to the Asia Pacific market and offer a higher level of service and support to our clients in the area,” says Sverre Kjenne, President and CEO, VMETRO. “This effort is another important milestone in our expansion strategy and fits in very well with the recent merger with Transtech DSP Ltd.”
VMETRO will continue to work through the existing distribution channels as before, but with the added local presence in the region as well as the Transtech DSP merger, it is expected that the company will be involved in many more projects in the years ahead.
The new office will be open for business early next year. Mr. Valliappan will be heading the new office and building up the organization in Singapore.
“Mr. Valliappan brings lots of knowledge, experience and know-how of the region to our organization,” commented Emmanuel Thibaut, Export Manager, VMETRO. “We are very excited about the growth potential in this region.”
