Sweden takes part in anti corruption conference

Sida, Swedish International Development Agency, contributes with one or two participants in the 7-8 April international anti corruption conference in Jakarta, Indonesia.
     The topic is how to prevent corruption when the tsunami aid funds, goods and services are distributed.
     Indonesia’s government hosts the conference which will have representatives from the six worst affected countries attending: India, Indonesia, Maldives, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
     Sida’s support is channeled through one of the participants, Transparency International. The meeting is arranged by the Asian Development Bank and OECD.
