Danes Threatened in Indonesia:Danish Foreign Ministry

The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to intensify its warning to Danes in Indonesia, advising all Danes to leave the country as soon as possible.

But recent warnings are now communicated in much stronger terms and the ministry now says that a certain group of Muslim extremists intends seeking out Danes with the purpose of hurting them in the coming days.

In a press release on Saturday, the ministry says that the threat is believed to be concentrated around the eastern part of Java, but it is feared that it could affect other parts of the country – including Bali. Danes who find themselves in an emergency situation are encouraged to contact the Dutch embassy in Jakarta.
