Danish Travel Agency To Build Resort Near Phuket

Every year 20,000 Danish families spend their holiday in one of Ving’s seven European resorts called Sunwing resorts on the Mediterranean, or the Canary Islands.
This autumn Ving will open its first venture outside of Europe, a new resort in Phuket, Thailand due to open November.
The 300 bungalow resort is currently being build in Bangtao – roughly 20 kilometres north of Patong and the bungalows are to be a combination of Scandinavian functionality and the local Thai ambience.
The resort is even going to include a direct communicatons link with Denmark so that holiday guests will be able to handle “light work” away from the office.
“Realizing that more and more guests are keeping an eye on their work mailbox during their holiday, we are going to prepare several “offices” with the necessary equipment, enabling guests to tackle “light” office tasks between their time in the sun and sea,” Kent Rausner, area chief for Ving in Thailand said.
