Finnair’s New Asian Flights

Helsinki-based Finnair announced plans to expand its coverage to Asian destinations, citing booming demand that has brought the airline’s weekly Asian flights to fifty-nine, from nine in the year 2001.
The airline says it is well placed to serve routes between North American and Asia, since the shortest routes typically go through Finnish airspace. This allows travelers to break up long haul flights into two legs that the airline says are more manageable and environmentally friendly.
