Hanoi Telecommunications has confirmed that as from October 5, 2008, all fixed telephones in the city will be 8 digits, instead of the current 7 digits.
When dialing a number of a table telephone, you are asked to dial number “3” before the existing telephone number.
This rule is applied to all telephones except the mobile.
