The National Food Agency (Fødevarestyrelsen) in the Danish town Rønne has seized a number of energy drinks from the store “Ann Thai Shop”, owned by Phiangjai Ann Knudsen.
The drinks were sold without the needed permission. The shop has also received a fine of 10,000 kroner.
At an inspection round in September, it was found that the store sold some energy drinks which – according to the verification report – are illegal, since there is no authorization for the addition of nutrients.
50 bottles of energy drinks was seized.
The shop has also been prosecuted, because it sold candy, nuts, beer and rice in packs without Danish labels. The owner Phiangjai Ann Knudsen has promised to put her business in order.
