Karin Jordal- Cebu’s Most Prolific Artists

Karin Jordal is from Norway, a country with cold climate and breathtaking scenery. In search of sunshine and warmer seas, she moved first to California then to Alicante in Spain. Now, she lives in Cebu. Karin paints and there’s Norway splashed all
Karin’s one-woman show recently opened at Gallery Q along A. S. Fortuna St., Mandaue City, which is right across Norkis. Cebu City councilor Bart Carrillo cut the ribbon with Sabino Dapat (honorary consul of Norway and Denmark) and brothers Joaquin and Isidro Borromeo, friends of the artist.
Karin’s paintings have ethereal themes and reflect serenity. They may seem totally abstract but one can discern images and figures, as pointed out by April May Tudtud-Ramos, Gallery Q’s director. The paintings stir varied emotions from viewers, she told her adoring husband, Richard Ramos who came at the the opening party.
These works of art are a breath of fresh air, and have quite a splash of color, said Paz Josefina Pelaez to Consul Dapat, as they gazed at an array of panels in glorious blues, pinks, greens, lilacs.
