Electronic Company Doubles Profit in Thailand

The year of 2008 Styromatic moved into a new head office in Brabrand near Århus, the company invested ten million Danish Kroner in machines and it increased its gross profit by 43 percent.
Apart from its head office The Danish company has a factory in Thailand. In 2008 35 new employees were hired and a total of 50 are now working at the factory. 
“This is the best year in the history of the company. We have secured a couple of new clients and existing clients have given us several large projects. In addition the factory in Thailand is beginning to get busier,” Managing Director Asmus Hamborg-Petersen says.
At the turn of the year he closed the department with 18 employees in Bramming and moved it all to Brabrand, where there now is a total of 100 employees.
Styromatic produces electronic operations to for instance vessel engines, hot tubs, wind mills and aeroplanes. At the factory in Thailand they make the products that require a lot of manual work, while the more advanced solutions are produced in Brabrand.
Asmus Hamborg-Petersen spend a week every month in Thailand to manage the factory, which is about to be expanded with 1800 square meters.
In spite of the financial crisis the managing director expects growth, and with the expansion in both Denmark and Thailand Styromatic is well equipped for future assignments.
