Copenhagen Royal Choir to perform in Vietnam

The Copenhagen Royal Choir will have a performance at Hanoi Opera House during the evening of May 11th. Established in 1924, the choir has become one of the most outstanding representatives of traditional European music.
On May 11th, the programme will start with the Vietnamese song “Trong com” and the Danish song “At the sunset” written by composer Niels La Cour in praise of the peaceful countryside.
The main part of the programme will be folk songs about the beautiful spring and summers in Scandinavia. Masterpieces by reputed Austrian composer Joseph Haydn, and the choir composition entitled Zadok the Priest, created by renowned German composer Georg Frideric Handel in 1728 will also be sung in the event. This programme is jointly organized by the Embassy of Denmark and the Vietnam National Musical Academy.
