1 Million Baht to the Queen’s Foundation

Close to 1000 people rocked on Saturday night 16 January the Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin to the tunes of the famous Swedish artist Robert Wells and his big orchestra called Rhapsody in Rock who gave a big charity concert in support of families in need in the Hua Hin area. Every ticket costs 2500 baht and 1000 baht goes directly to the Queen’s Foundation to support families in the countryside of Thailand.

The music at the the colorful concert varied from rock, jazz, pop, and classic ballads all in one fantastic mix. The band played both their own songs and hits of famous artists like Abba and Elton John and lot of others too.
The event took place out in front of the Black Mountain Golf Club in the mountain area in Hua Hin. Lots of Scandinavians live in this area and this night most of the people in the audience were Swedish. Most of Robert Wells’s comments and jokes were also only told in Swedish which was clearly appreciated by the crowd who applauded and moved to the music like they were all teenagers once again.
But this night was not only a great night out for the crowd, it will also be a big help improving the living of the families in the countryside of Thailand.
