The Danish Embassy in Vietnam has funded a project to help Vietnamese children with harelip and palate problems in the southern province of Tien Giang improve their life.
Under the project, more than 200 children have undergone harelip and palate surgery, followed by speech therapy to improve their pronunciation difficulties.
Some 162 children have improved and another 97 have made progress 20 months after receiving the linguistic cure. Many children have recovered completely after the project.
