The Sweden Pavilion yesterday welcomed its 3.5 millionth visitor, a 64-year-old retired teacher from Sichuan Province.
Zhou Yufang was treated to a VIP tour of the pavilion and presented a bag and a book about Sweden. It was Zhou’s first visit to the Expo.
The pavilion with a daily attendence of more than 20,000 people proved very popular among children because of its slides, swings and other interactive exhibits. It has received 230,000 children as of last Saturday, averaging 1,250 a day.
The pavilion also welcomed about 32,000 VIP guests and received approximately 2,000 VIP delegations.
