Wikborg Rein Global Managing Partner for Singapore

Per M. Risvedt, former Global Managing Partner of Norwegian firm Wikbor Rein, has arrived in Singapore last night, 28 July 2011, in preparation to take on his duties as Managing Partner of the firm’s Singapore office beginning on 1 August this year.
Ristvedt joined Wikborg Rein in 1991, practicing in Norway, spending three years in Japan as head of Wikborg Rein’s office in Kobe as well as the Norwegian Consul General for Kobe/Osaka.
Risvedt lead the firm globally for eight years, planning its overseas expansion from 2003 to 2011. The firm has witnessed a double of revenue and headcount, from US$59.5m (320 million NOK) and 150 employees to US$121.7m (655 million NOK) and more than 300 employees under Risvedt lead.
His main field of practice is litigation and dispute resolution, corporate finance including stock exchange, securities legislation, contracts, real estate and matters relating to maritime law and offshore.
Risvedt has served as Assistant Researcher and Lecturer at the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law at the University of Oslo 1990 – 1991, and as Deputy Judge in 1993. In 2002 he was admitted to the Norwegian Supreme Court.
Ristvedt has been a partner since 2000, and has published several legal articles on various subjects. He has also written the books “The Lawyer as a Negotiator in civil disputes and commercial transactions” which was published in 2003 and “Alternative Dispute Resolution”, which was published in 2008.
