Thai nationals and others with permanent residence in Thailand, who will soon return to the flooded areas in Thailand after a short visit in Denmark may have prolonged their stay in Denmark.
Thai nationals or other visa nationals with permanent residence in Thailand, staying in Denmark for a short visit stay (visa), and who will soon leave for Thailand have the opportunity to get their visas renewed if they come from the areas of Thailand affected by the floods.
“If you come from the affected areas in Thailand and it is impossible or extremely difficult to return you might get an extension of your Visa for 30 days”, says Susanne Meyersahm who heads the visa office of the Immigration Service in Copenhagen.
Visa extensions because of the flooding will normally be given for 30 days and charge no fee for the extension.
If you think you need to get your visa extended as a result of floods in Thailand you can contact your local police department, or – if you stay in the metropolitan area – the Immigration Services Service Center, Ryesgade 53, 2100 Copenhagen Ø Opening hours for the Service Center are Monday-Friday. 8:30 to 12:00 Thursday from 15.30 to 17.30 also.
