Danish tourist escorted by police after missing Suvarnabhumi bus in Trat

A Danish tourist in Trat was calmed by police after causing a scene over missing his Suvarnabhumi bus.

A Danish tourist caused a disturbance at Trat Bus Terminal on Tuesday, December 2, after missing the last bus to Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Staff contacted Mueang Trat Police at around 6pm when the man began shouting and refused to calm down.

Terminal staff said the man arrived too late for the 6pm bus, the final service to the airport that day. They suggested he wait for the next bus at 4am and offered other transport options, but he continued arguing. Witnesses told local media the man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Police checked his documents and confirmed that he had entered Thailand legally. Tourist Police were called to help interpret, and an officer eventually calmed the traveller and contacted his airline to postpone his flight to midnight on December 4.

Officers then escorted the Danish tourist to the Trat Tourist Police office, where he was allowed to rest. Police said he would be placed on the first bus to Bangkok at 4am on Wednesday, December 3, to continue his journey to Suvarnabhumi Airport.
