Finns in Myanmar: Stay clear of possible demonstrations on 2 February

The embassy of Finland in Myanmar released a warning to Finns in Myanmar asking them to be aware of possible demonstrations following the new parliament meeting on 2 February. The announcement reads:

Possible unrest in Myanmar as the new parliament meets on 2 February. People staying in the country are advised to be careful and avoid crowds / protests.

The demonstrations in Myanmar can lead to violence, especially in connection with the new parliament taking office on 2 February. Travelers in the country are invited to observe caution and avoid crowds / demonstrations.
