Is it safe to travel to certain countries as a gay man? The answer can be found in the new travel app Gayze. The app is founded by the two Swedes Elin Wibell and Stelios Vasilantonakis, with Wibell based in Singapore.

Asia is the next market where the founders plan on launching their app, according to Inside Scandinavian Business.

The app was launch 3 August 2018 during the Europride festival in Stockholm and is currently aiming at markets in Singapore, Sweden, Germany, UK, Italy and the US. Gayze offers up-to-date advice about what to consider as a gay travelling in different countries around the world. It also includes travel tips and works as a social network as well.

“We want to ensure that people are not in danger and should not fear to travel in certain places. That everyone should be able to explore through travelling,” says Wibell to Inside Scandinavian Business.

At the moment, the app is only focusing on gay men, but in the future the founders hope to expand their target group.
