The adventure of Norwegian Thor Heyerdahl entertained more than 150 guests Monday 28 September 2015. The Norwegian Embassy in collaboration with the Foreign Correspondent’s Club of Thailand (FCCT) welcomed to a screening of movie “Kon-tiki” accompanied with delicious Norwegian delicacies.

Minister Councellor Vegard Holmelid was delighted to note that ‘Kon-Tiki’ had been partly filmed in Khao Lak and Phuket in Thailand. The Minister Councellor said that “the Kon-Tiki expedition is not just about adventure and scientific research, but also about finding and gaining courage to follow your goals”.

No Norwegian event without salmon! Along with the different pink fish dishes the guests could quench their thirst in tasteful hand-crafted Norwegian beers for the event thanks to Norwegian beer company “Nøgne Ø” and their provider in Thailand “Beervana”. Both beers and the salmon delicacies were well received by everyone.

The Norwegian Embassy said many thanks to the Foreign Correspondent’s Club of Thailand for the collaboration and their opportunity to contribute to the ‘Contemporary World Film Series’.
