Between 1st and 5th September a delegation from Vietnam National Assembly visited Denmark to gain inspiration from the Danish parliamentary system. The delegation met with Danish politicians to discuss subjects like how Denmark has organized local government and distributed a great amount of administrative power to the municipalities.
At the Danish Parliament, 1st Deputy Speaker of the parliament, Bertel Haarder expressed his great satisfaction with the parliamentary cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark under the scope of the Danish-funded Good Governance and Public Administration Programme in Vietnam.
“Denmark and Vietnam are two very different countries with a strong partnership, but the ongoing dialogue is very useful”, Bertel Haarder said.
