Thursdag 26 September, was the European Day of Languages. The German Goethe-Institute hosted a multi-language cafe where Thai and foreign students were invited to come and talk with European languages native speakers.
The Scandinavian countries were as well represented and both the Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish “language table” had many good talks with students who had one or another relation to the respective countries.
European Day of Languages is established by initiative of the Council of Europe in 2001 and is meant as an opportunity to celebrate language diversity and promote language studies.
