Simply Scandinavian, or the Scandinavian Week, will be held for the first time in Singapore between October 12 and 17 this year at The Intercontinental Hotel.
The event is a week of dinner shows with top artists and jazz bands from Scandinavia and a top class Scandinavian Smorgasbord prepared by one of Scandinavia’s best chefs. The arrangement in Singapore is supported by the Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish embassies in the country.
In South East Asia this year, Simply Scandinavian will also be held in Malaysia and Thailand, tentatively scheduled for November 22-27 at Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and November 29-December 4 at Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok. A second Scandinavian week in the Philippines is also slated to take place between February 28 and March 5 next year at Shangri-La Makati Hotel in Manila.
In 2004, two Scandinavian Week events have already been organised in the region: the 1st Simply Scandinavian in Manila in February and the 1st Scandinavian Gourmet Week in Vietnam in May.
