Danes in Vietnam Invited to Bird Flu Meeting

In a letter posted on the embassy’s website Monday, Denmark’s ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Peter Lysholt Hansen, has invited Vietnam-based Danes to an informal orientation meeting that can shed more light on the current Bird Flu threat.

The embassy has asked Mr. Hans Troedsson, who is the Danish representative for WHO (the World Health Organisation) in Vietnam, to come and contribute with more knowledge about the actual threat of a pandemic outbreak.
“The media continues to write and speak a lot about Bird Flu, and about the risk of a worsening of the situation. To offer more knowledge about this topic, we would like to invite you to this briefing,” the ambassador writes in the online invitation to his fellow-countrymen.

This “informal briefing” will take place Tuesday November 29 from 4pm to 5.30pm at the Danish Embassy in Hanoi – and an additional meeting will be held Thursday December 1 from 4pm to 5.30pm in Ho Chi Minh City at the Business Center. You can see the specific addresses as well as the invitation on the Embassy’s website: www.ambhanoi.um.dk.
