Danish Opera in Hong Kong

An unforgettable evening of opera arranged by Danish Chamber of Commerce at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

Royal Danish Opera Singers, Pernille Bruun (Soprano), Mariann Amdisen (Mezzo Soprano), Boerge Nielsen (Baryton), Thomas Poulsen-Kragh (Tenor) and Royal Danish Opera pianist, Bo Lundby-Jaeger, performed an amazing program of French and Italian opera highlights expertly backed up by the Hong Kong City Choir on Saturday June 19, 2010.

The audience was instantly captured when the entire ensample opened the concert with an impressive version of Brindisi from La Traviata. Throughout the concert the singers, in turn, impressed the audience with world famous arias, duets, trios and quartets and together withthe Hong Kong City Choir managed to amaze the audience over and over again. The standing ovation at the finale and the numerous curtain calls were undeniably well deserved and sincere indications of how extraordinary the entire performance had been.

Danish Chamber of Commerce would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors (Jebsen, Sir Wayne Leung, Royal Danish Consulate General in Hong Kong, Dacapo and Wine Pro Consultants) for their generous support.
