Nokia´s latest approach to the business segment is the E7 handset. Nokia begins shipping to pre-order costumers in Finland this week.
The launch of the E7 will take place in three steps. The distribution to Western Europe, China and Middle East will soon begin but the rest of the world will have to wait for the E7 until early second quarter.
Nokia entered the market for business phones with full keyboards with the Communicator in 1996, and it already attempted one follow-on, the N97. The E7 may be Nokia’s most complicated handset, combining a touchscreen and revamped Symbian 3 software with a slide-out keyboard and secure business communications software that works with Microsoft Corp. Exchange servers.
E7 will come at a price of US$ 811.
