Further, the new Foreign Investment Law (FIL) and Special Economic Zone Law (SEZL) puts in places attractive incentives for foreign investments in a broad range of fields, while the newly signed EU-Myanmar Investment Protection Agreement brings important guarantees and protection for EU investors regarding investments in Myanmar. Foreign confidence in doing business and investing in the future of the country is growing steadily, which is also evident from the rapid increase in trade between Myanmar and the EU.
