The European Literature Days is launched at a press conference this afternoon in Hanoi and there we might get the answer. The Danish Embassy’s contribution to the event is two volumes of Andersen’s fairy tales translated by Nguyen Minh Hai and Minh Toan. At the literature days actors will bring to life H.C. Andersen and his characters: the Little Mermaid, the Snow Queen, the Tin Soldier etc.
“Promoting children’s literature is an important part of the Embassy’s cultural programme. The aim is to support literature that has a wide appeal to children and strengthens their imagination – something that Andersen’s fairy tales are famous for”, says Cultural Officer Ms. Kim Quy.

The Danish contribution to the literature days is for children and the young at heart and takes place at the Goethe Institute in Hanoi Saturday the 24th May from 3 to 4.30 pm. Join the fairy tale.
